When you use ResumeSnap, we collect the following types of information:

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Resume Generation: To create personalized, ATS-optimized resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn summaries based on your professional experience and target job descriptions
• Payment Processing: To process your purchases and manage your subscription or credits
• Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our AI models and user experience
• Customer Support: To respond to your questions and provide assistance
• Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

Important: We do NOT store your generated resumes after creation.

• Your professional information (experience, skills, etc.) is processed in real-time to generate your documents and is not permanently stored on our servers.
• Generated resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn summaries are created on-demand and are only available to you during your session. Once you download or close the page, we do not retain copies.
• Payment records and transaction history are retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes, as required by law.
• Usage analytics and logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and service improvement purposes.

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information only with the following trusted service providers:

• Stripe:Our payment processor. Stripe handles all payment transactions securely and is PCI-DSS compliant. Review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Anthropic:Our AI provider that powers the resume generation. Your data is processed according to Anthropic's data usage policies, which do not use customer data to train models without explicit consent.
• Vercel:Our hosting provider. Vercel Web Analytics collects anonymized, privacy-friendly usage data (page views and performance metrics) without using cookies. Review Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Sentry:We use Sentry for error monitoring and performance tracking to improve service reliability. Sentry may receive technical data such as error messages, stack traces, browser type, and device information. Review Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

ResumeSnap uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function properly, such as maintaining your session and payment status
• Local Storage: Used to store your usage credits, plan details, and preferences (stored only in your browser, not on our servers)
• Vercel Web Analytics: Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that collect anonymized page view and performance data without tracking individual users across websites

We do NOT use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. As such, there is no need to opt out
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 above. We share this information with the service providers listed in Section 5 for the business purposes described in Section 3.
